NatHERS / BASIX Energy Certification
Most Australian councils require a NatHERS star rating (and BASIX in NSW) before they'll approve a residential building permit. We handle the assessment and certification for you, whether you bought a plan from us or already have your own.

Common questions
What star rating do I need?
Victoria requires 7 stars plus a Whole-of-Home score of at least 60. NSW works through BASIX, which moves to a 7-star equivalent from 2026. Other states assess NatHERS against the National Construction Code.
What happens if my design doesn't pass?
We tell you what to change and why, usually glazing, insulation or orientation. Catching it at assessment stage is far cheaper than after documentation is finalised.
Do you certify plans bought elsewhere?
Yes. Send us your drawings and we'll assess them the same way, regardless of who drew them.
